Job Description:

Ledyard Public Schools, Juliet W. Long Elementary School is seeking a Special Education teacher focused on SEL/ Behavior Programming beginning in the 2025-2026 School Year.

The Special Education Teacher will be responsible for curriculum and lesson planning and delivery, as well as assessing students and writing effective IEPs.  Participation in interdisciplinary team meetings, PPTs, and parent meetings is an essential component of this position. The teacher must be skilled in providing on-going training and supervision to paraprofessionals and general educators in order to implement IEPs with fidelity.

Qualifications include: Connecticut Special Education Certification required (165, 065 or 265), 3+ years special education teaching experience (preferred but not mandatory), training in, and experience with, implementing a behavior support program (preferred but not mandatory) and experience with providing executive functioning instruction to support general education access.

Salary and Benefits are per the Ledyard Education Association agreement
