Coventry Public Schools has an opening for a full time school psychologist.  Responsibilities will include:

  • Conduct psychological assessments within the cognitive, social-emotional, behavioral and adaptive and academic domains
  • Participate in Planning and Placement Team, Section 504 and Instructional Leadership Team meetings as needed
  • Develop, implement, and assess progress of IEP goals based on present levels of performance
  • Provide direct individual and small group counseling services and social skills groups
  • Provide consultation to teachers, related services staff and student support staff to facilitate student success across educational settings
  • Provide family support for students' needs through referrals to community resources and ongoing communication with parents and community-based professionals
  • Facilitate and support school climate, school culture and positive behavior initiatives
  • Provide individual, building, and district crisis management services and support
  • Provide in-service training related to behavior management, social skills development, and student-centered learning, organization, and work completion strategies
