Job Summary
Looking for a dynamic Special Education Teacher who can develop and provide and monitor specialized instruction to meet the unique needs of elementary students with disabilities. This position requires a dedicated and compassionate individual who can create a supportive learning environment and collaborate effectively with students, parents, and general education teachers.
Essential Duties
· Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in collaboration with parents, students, and related service providers.
· Write measurable goals and objectives on CT-SEDS
· Provide direct and indirect special education services to students with a variety of different skills levels.
· Conduct comprehensive assessments to determine students' strengths, weaknesses, and educational needs.
· Modify and accommodate curriculum and instructional strategies to meet the diverse needs of students.
· Collaborate with general education teachers to support students in inclusive settings.
· Utilize assistive technology and other accommodations as needed.
· Maintain accurate and up-to-date student records and documentation.
· Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding student progress and goals.
Qualifications: Must have valid Connecticut Certification Number: 165.
Salary Range: $49,074 to $105,646 (DOE) - Competitive Benefits
