Job Description:
LOCATION OF ASSIGNMENT: East Hampton Middle School
Works in conjunction with certified staff to support the individual needs of students in Supportive Teaching for
At Risk Students (STARS) program. Paraeducator staff will work in conjunction with the special education teacher,
BCBA and School Psychologists support students who may exhibit challenging behaviors due to lacking the skills
of flexibility, adaptability, frustration tolerance, and problem-solving.
QUALIFICATIONS:
● Ability and desire to work with students with emotional and behavioral concerns
● Knowledge of math, reading, and writing instruction.
● Ability to document student’s progress, collect and maintain student data
● Excellent communication skills.
● Ability to be a team player.
● Two-year associate degree or equivalent
● Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find acceptable and appropriate
Pay Range: 21.75-29.25 depending on experience- (rate includes hourly differential for STARS)
