Job Description:

Responsibilities:
The ABA Therapist will report to a designated special education teacher and will:
 implement IEP goals as directed by the Special Education Teacher
 work with other specialists and parents to implement additional specified goals and objectives
 implement programs developed by teacher and consultant
 teach daily living, social skills, receptive and expressive language skills
 maintain accurate data and graphing on all designated programs
 plan and implement all aspects of systematic instructional sequences within self-contained
classroom, inclusion environments, and reverse mainstream environments
 Meet regularly with the ABA consultant, special education teacher, and support team
 attend staff meetings
 videotape work sessions as appropriate
 provide reports of student progress when deemed necessary by teacher and/or team
 maintain student safety including the application of crisis prevention interventions and physical
management techniques, including protective holds, when necessary and appropriate
 implement behavior intervention plans designed to reinforce appropriate behaviors and eliminate
inappropriate behaviors including disruptive behaviors such as aggression or bolting

Qualifications:
 Two to three years’ experience providing ABA instruction
 demonstrate knowledge of special education practices (autism)
 possess excellent written and verbal communication skills
 must be flexible, creative, and demonstrate strong organizational skills
 must be highly motivated and self-directed
