Qualifications:

• Education: Associate’s degree or 60 college credits, or a High School Diploma with a passing score on the ParaPro Assessment.
• Strong communication skills, both orally and in writing, with students, staff, and parents.
• Experience working with children, particularly in educational settings, is preferred.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.

Reports To: Principal/Director or designee.

Job Goal:

• To support teachers in creating an inclusive and productive learning environment for all students.

Performance Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with the classroom teacher to set up, distribute, and collect instructional materials.
• Assist in implementing instructional activities that meet diverse student needs and learning styles.
• Support classroom management strategies to promote a positive and respectful learning environment.
• Provide assistance to students in both academic and non-academic activities.
• Participate in professional development and in-service training programs to enhance skills and knowledge.
• Maintain confidentiality regarding student records and classroom activities.
• Follow all rules, guidelines, and regulations of the assigned program and school district.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the principal or designee, fostering a flexible and supportive learning atmosphere.
