Special Education Teacher - Self-Contained Setting

Qualifications:

Comprehensive Special Education, PreK–12 (165)

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bilingual in English and Spanish.

Reports To:

• Principal/Director or designee.

Supervises:

• Paraeducators.

Job Goal:

• To support students in learning subject matter and skills essential for their development as mature, responsible citizens.

Incentives:

• A $1,000 hiring bonus may be offered to new employees certified in areas defined as a shortage by the state department of education.
• Additional retention bonuses of $750 annually for up to four years may be available with contract renewal.
