Behavior Tutor
Assist certified staff in implementing tiered behavior supports to affect students positively. Work closely and collaboratively with mental health staff and administration to support social, emotional, and behavioral growth.
Essential Functions

Assist classroom teachers with classroom behavior management, including behavior intervention, de-escalation, and re-engagement.
Communicate with the teacher to determine the steps to restore, teach, and re-engage the student in their academic work.
Support and promote students' positive behaviors at all times and support students in making healthy, safe choices.
Assist with recess, supervision, restroom breaks, emergency drills, assemblies, field trips, etc.
De-escalate students and situations utilizing positive behavior supports
Model and reinforce social skills and emotional regulation skills
Provide assistance to the classroom teacher, special education teacher, or related services
Collect academic and behavioral data
Interact positively with staff and students
Maintain the strictest confidence concerning personnel, students, and operational concerns
Promote good public relations by personal appearance, attitude, and conversation
Report all cases of suspected child abuse to appropriate school personnel and proper government authority
Perform other duties as assigned by certified staff, Principal, and/or other Administrators

Education & Experience
Bachelors degree required
Experience working with children or in a school setting
Experience and education in social, emotional, and behavioral supports
Compensation - $25-$30/hour taking into consideration education, experiences, and skills
