Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree and/or Masters in the content area
Must possess or be eligible for the following CTSDE Certifications
(070) School Psychologist
Period of Employment: Beginning the 2024/2025 School Year
Reports to: Director of Special Services/Building Administrator
School Psychologist who has experience in individualized evaluative process including cognitive, adaptive, psychological, social and emotional behavioral assessments, report writing, developing IEP goals, counseling small group, individual and classroom instruction.
Conduct FBAs and create and implement Behavior Intervention Plans
Ability to positively engage teachers, students and families in the learning process.
Ability to collaborate with colleagues to improve learning for all students.
Participate as a member of Planning and Placement Team (PPT) in developing of counseling related services goals and objectives
Participate as a member of the 504 Multidisciplinary teams in developing 504 plans
Assist with implementing prevention programs including the schools’ social/emotional learning programs
Salary: Salary, work year and working conditions will be in accordance with the current contract between the Board of Education and the Suffield Educators Association.
