Job Description:
Student Support Services is seeking a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant. Candidates should be able to work with a team of teachers who are dedicated to improving student achievement. All candidates must possess appropriate State of Connecticut certification
Qualifications:
Current COTA License/Certification from the State of CT
Experience in occupational therapeutic methods and techniques in the rehabilitation field and/or school setting working with special education students
Responsibilities:
Implement therapeutic services to students requiring occupational therapy interventions.
Coordinate with OT to assist in the development of programming for students with disabilities
Designing and implementing activities that support the implementation of IEP goals and objectives
Implementation of Occupational Therapy services as defined in student Individualized Education Plans
Collect data that supports progress monitoring of IEP goals and objectives.
