Job Description:

Solterra Academy’s approach to providing quality education programming for children with special needs rests on the interdisciplinary team model and a high staff to student ratio. Teams are comprised of Administrators, certified special education teachers, licensed clinical Social Workers, Clinical Psychologist, speech and language pathologists, occupational therapists, pediatric school nurses, classroom support staff and more. Sign-on Bonus available!

As a Per-Diem Clinical Psychologist at Solterra Academy, you'll administer, score, interpret, and write a formal integrated psychological evaluation of the results which will be used to determine the student’s eligibility or continued eligibility for special education services. Results of the assessment would be presented to members of the student’s treatment team, as well as parents/guardians, the student’s local educational agency, and other participants in the Planning and Placement Team (PPT) meeting. As such, candidates should be available to participate in feedback meetings with school staff, meetings with parents and guardians, and PPT meetings to report on results and address any questions or concerns that may arise from the results. 

 

Hours: School hours are 7:30am-4:00pm; hours for this position are flexible within the school hours and based on testing load (fluctuates month to month). 

Requirements

  • CT licensure as a Clinical Psychologist
  • Demonstrated proficiency in various assessments instruments, including, but not limited to cognitive assessments, projective measures, behavior rating scales, and adaptive rating scales
