Job Description:
Benhaven School is seeking dedicated and enthusiastic individuals to join our team as Paraprofessionals. The primary responsibility of this role is to provide support to students and teachers in the classroom to ensure a positive and productive learning environment.
This is a Full-time, Monday-Friday, 35 hour a week, year-round position.
Responsibilities:
- Assist teachers in implementing lesson plans and classroom activities
- Work with individual students or small groups to provide additional support and guidance
- Help to manage student behavior and maintain a safe and respectful learning environment
- Provide assistance with classroom materials and resources, such as organizing materials and setting up equipment
- Collaborate with teachers and other staff members to meet the individual needs of students
- Communicate regularly with parents and caregivers to provide updates on student progress and performance
- Participate in training and professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge in education and special education best practices
