Job Description:

Non-Affiliated Staff Position

 

POSITION:                                            Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA)

 

LOCATION:                                           Stafford School District

 

SALARY and BENEFITS:                    $70,000 - $80,000, based on experience and qualifications; 10-month position (200 work days)

                                                            Competitive benefit package including defined contribution plan (50% employer match, up to 6% of salary); employer contribution to HSA deductible (50%); employer paid life insurance and long-term disability; and paid sick and personal leave.

RESPONSIBILITIES:            

·         Develop and monitor behavior support plans and individualized treatment plans.

·         Compile data to determine effectiveness of treatment plan and skill assessments.

·         Interacts with and provide training to staff, parents, and teachers.

·         Conducts behavior assessments as needed to identify problem behavior; develop appropriate support plans to correct problem behaviors.

·         Analyze treatment integrity, crisis intervention, and problem behavior data.

·         Conduct functional assessment and develop function-based Behavior Intervention Plans (BIP).

·         Provides direct supervision and training to education teams on behavior reduction, crisis management, and skill acquisition as part of a BIP.

·         Prepare and organize related documents/reports as needed (e.g., current levels of performance for the Individual Education Program, goals and objectives, progress reports, BIP progress, 1:1 justification).

·         Monitor and supervise use and documentation of seclusion, restraint, or exclusion documents.

·         Participate in all relevant meetings regarding assigned students. 

·         Reports to Director of Pupil Services.

 

Qualifications:

·         Master’s degree

·         Previous exposure to or experience in the education sector a plus

·         Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA)

·         Previous experience conducting behavior assessments and developing behavior intervention plans

·         Experience with students classified on the autism spectrum and identified as emotionally disturbed 

·         Strong verbal and written communication skills
