Job Description:

Anticipated Vacancies- Extended School Year Summer 2024

Region 10 Public Schools is looking to build its pool of staff for its extended school year (ESY) program, for the summer of 2024.  ESY will take place at Harwinton Parks and Recreation camp and Harwinton Consolidated School.           

Special Education Teachers Registered Nurses School Psychologist or Social Worker (hours determined by service needs)

 

Occupational Therapist or COTA (hours determined by service needs) Physical Therapist (hours determined by service needs)

BCBA Paraprofessionals Behavior Techs

Speech Language Pathologist (hours determined by service needs)   ESY Supervisor

Note: Related services positions may not need to work full session hours. Need will be based on student enrollment.

Qualifications:            (certified) Connecticut Certification for appropriate area, PreK-12   

                                    (noncertified) Experience working with students with disabilities

                                   

Population:                  Includes students with learning disabilities, OHI, autism, intellectual disability, speech/language disability, emotional disturbance, multiple disabilities

                                                                                                                              

Services:                      Provide instruction according to student IEPs. Collect daily attendance. Collect progress monitoring data and submit end-of-session progress reports.

Other:

Salary:                         $60 per hour certified/licensed staff/PT

                                    $43 per hour nurse (RN)

                                    $35 per hour nurse (LPN)                     

                                    $35 per hour COTA

                                    Paraprofessionals $18.40/hour or current pay rate (whichever is greater)

                                    Behavior Techs $21.75/hour or current pay rate (whichever is greater)

                                    + 30 minutes of paid prep time per day
