Broad Function:
This position serves as a support for ESY classrooms.
Elementary Academic M-Th 9-11
Elementary High Needs M-F 9-12
Secondary M-F 9-12
Transition M-Th 8:30-1
Staff hours are 15 minutes before and after program hours.
Responsibilities and Duties:
Provide support to ESY students under the supervision of the Special Education Teacher
Effectively communicate with staff regarding student progress
Utilize safe & appropriate procedures when working with students
Maintain student confidentiality
Assist in preparing student materials as instructed
Collaborate with team including special education teacher, related service staff, BCBA and co-workers
Assist with supervision of student arrival and dismissal
Qualifications and Experience:
Current experience working with students demonstrating a range of academic and social learning needs

Ability to see and read objects closely, as wiring, labels on equipment, reading/proofreading a report, using a computer monitor, filing and/or retrieving information from a filing system and verifying the accuracy of financial information
Ability to hear normal sounds with background noise, as in using a telephone or radio, distinguish verbal communication and communicate through speech, including using a radio
Ability to learn and acquire an understanding of new information, methodologies and techniques and how they apply to school goals and operations
Memory adequate to perform tasks/assignments given over long periods of time
Ability to concentrate on a task for more than 60 minutes

Salary & Compensation:
$25/hour or current rate of pay if higher than $25
