Job Description:

Theory of Action for Middletown Public Schools:

Broad Function:

BCBA for Extended School Year Programs district-wide

Anticipated Start Date: July 8, 2024

Hours Per Week: 17.5 

Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:45 a.m. -12:15 p.m. 

Responsibilities and Duties:

Work collaboratively with building staff to promote positive student behavior

Demonstrate expertise in the area of data collection and behavior analysis

Demonstrate behavior management ideas and/or techniques

Provide training in the use of data collection, positive behavior supports, intervention techniques and instructional methodologies for staff.

Work with students who exhibit maladaptive/unexpected behaviors and provide support and professional learning for staff who work with such students

Monitors progress and evaluates treatment effectiveness regularly, maintaining high rates of progress

Identifies behavior goals and intervention techniques utilizing non-aversive behavior change methods

Selects intervention and strategies according to the needs and desires and abilities of the individual

Qualifications and Experience:

BCBA credential 

Current experience working with students demonstrating a range of academic and social learning needs

Applicants must be committed to working the entire ESY session.  

Salary & Compensation:

$43/hour
