Job Description:

POSITION: Special Education Teacher

PROGRAM: Special Education Summer School - ESY

SCHOOL: Sandy Hook School (8:30am – 12:30pm) or Newtown High School (8:15am – 12:15pm)

DATES: 6/24/24 – 7/25/24 Monday - Thursday

REQUIREMENTS: Connecticut Certification as a Special Education Teacher 065, 165, 265

RESPONSIBILITIES:

 Provide direct instruction to students requiring special education

 Work collaboratively with paraprofessionals

 Delivers content utilizing specialized instructional materials.

 Uses diagnostic instruments to measure progress within a child's planned program.

 Performs observations for the purpose of collecting diagnostic data.

 Maintains appropriate and on-going communication with administration, staff,

parents/guardians.

Other:

SALARY RANGE: $50 per hour or per diem equivalent, whichever is higher
