POSITION:     STEM - Behavior Specialist

7:45 am - 2:45 pm - 5 days per week

Description:

The Behavior Specialist works under the supervision of a BCBA and collaborates on the implementation and delivery of behavioral interventions for students on a 1:1 or school wide basis, dependent on placement.  The Behavior Specialist will implement programming, collect data, and report student progress directly to the district BCBA.

Job Summary:

-  Responsible for daily management of assigned caseload including implementation of services, data-collection, graphing data, and reporting progress to BCBA.

-  Collaborate with BCBA in delivering support and the implementation of function-based behavior plans.

-  Maintains appropriate records, assists and provides guidance for teachers and other staff in the generalization of behavioral interventions.

-  Collaborate with regular education staff, special education teachers and related services regarding behavioral issues with students.

-  Review Functional Behavioral Assessment and Behavior Intervention Plans and collaborate with necessary staff to improve student behaviors.

-  Observe and collect data on student behaviors to determine success of the interventions.

-  Progress monitor and report data to case managers.

-  Any other responsibilities as designated by the district BCBA.

  Qualifications:

- RBT or Advanced Coursework/Experience in Applied Behavioral Analysis

- Motor Vehicle Operator's License or ability to provide own transportation

  FLSA Status:  Exempt
