Job Description:

POSITION TITLE:                  PHYSICAL THERAPIST
 

 LOCATION:                           CITY WIDE
 

DEPARTMENT:                      NON-BARGAINING

GRADE:                                 Pre-K -- 12
  

REPORTS TO:                        DIRECTOR, SPECIAL SERVICES
 

 SUMMARY:                           Develops, implements and coordinates a physical therapy program within the local educational agency (LEA); providing screening, evaluation and intervention services.  Knowledge of physical therapy principles, theory, methods and evidenced based practices.  Physical ability to execute job responsibilities that may include transferring and/or lifting students or equipment.
 

 LICENSE:                               Current physical therapist CT licensure
 

 EDUCATION:                        Graduate from an accredited physical therapy program
 

 WORK YEAR:                        7.5 hours/day - 5 days per week
